Paola Fiorelle Berthoin, local of Carmel Valley since 1965, hiked the Carmel River watershed to the hilltops and down along the Carmel River during the past few years to create over 45 paintings – with the desire to share her love of this place that provides irreplaceable beauty and ecological integrity we depend on. This show represents a selection from those paintings.
Sales of these paintings will support the printing of the book The River Unites: Voices for the Carmel River Watershed, featuring writings from Carmel Valley residents, past and present.

"By perceiving ourselves as part of the watershed, we take care of the watershed as a whole."
